Originally from the Northeast, I fell in love with this fantastically bizarre place in 1993, eventually researching and writing about its history, finally leaving a boring life of stability in 2002 to live here full time. Previously a responsible adult working in finance and computer programing, now I play with feathers & costumes, gambol in the garden, and freelance as a civic booster. It’s a pretty good tradeoff.
