You never know what you’ll see in the French Quarter. This girl was outside Pat O’s, having drawn a random crowd to watch her swing her fireballs around on chains.

I'm Tess Conrad, Yankee gone native in New Orleans. After dozens visits to research and write about NO's history I figured it'd be cheaper to just move, and in 2002 we did just that.
