Weekend streetcars
ByActually, I have to confess that we didn’t get out to the big opening of the line yesterday.
Our neighborhood association has a cleanup every other week, and this was the last one before we break for the holidays, so it was a command performance. I keep forgetting to go and buy one of those gripper things on a long handle so I’m not bending down & doing squats all morning. Ah well- cleaner streets and tighter thighs, what more could you ask for?
Plus, as we were wrapping up a very excitable pastor with a videocam and public access show came running up to interview us and suchlike. “If they don’t bump me, this’ll be on Tuesday at 8!” he said. I’ll have to check out his website and link if it’s posted there… such is my life of glamour- sweat, garbage, gloves and public access!
Anyway, took a walk this afternoon and sat on the neutral ground for awhile, just watching the world go by. The streetcars were pretty sporadic- but then they always were. They were packed to bursting, and how wonderful it was to see them:
