Water Lilies in City Park

I took this one a few weeks ago when we had guests in town and they visited NOMA. We’ll be back at City Park next weekend for Voodoo Fest, which is pretty much the complete opposite of this peaceful scene…lol

Hey, y'all, thanks for stopping by!~

I'm Tess Conrad, Yankee gone native in New Orleans. After dozens visits to research and write about NO's history I figured it'd be cheaper to just move, and in 2002 we did just that.

The blog was started as a companion to my New Orleans-themed shop (now closed), and give visitors a glimpse into life here. I'm keeping the blog here, even though I haven't been as good at updating it as I ought to be. I still write, not to mention photograph everything in sight, and gambol in the garden.
