Double Delight Rose

Another of my garden favorites. It’s not very fragrant, but it’s gorgeous. The bud starts white, and the whole thing turns red/pink- it could take an hour, could take 3 days. The hotter it is, the fast it goes.

I'm Tess Conrad, Yankee gone native in New Orleans. After dozens visits to research and write about NO's history I figured it'd be cheaper to just move, and in 2002 we did just that.

The blog was started as a companion to my New Orleans-themed shop (now closed), and give visitors a glimpse into life here. I'm keeping the blog here, even though I haven't been as good at updating it as I ought to be. I still write, not to mention photograph everything in sight, and gambol in the garden.
